Have anyone tried the a external display yet? Would be horrible if they marketed it as compatoble with the 6k xdr display and still have black bars on the sides because it cant change aspect ratio like the old ipads 😝

Apple HK has lots of stock in-store today. Yes even of the 12.9. 1TB is low on stock though (too expensive an upgrade and I don't need 16GB RAM on an iPad).

Bought a 12.9" 512GB Cellular and a 11" 512GB Cellular. Traded in my 2018 ones.

Saw the M1 iMac being set up in stores in the NZ hinterland this afternoon. They look better for real than in pictures, and the Retina screen is great.... seems less reflective than the previous generation of iMac.

At least one review on YouTube covered this. Same aspect ratio restriction as other models, as it is only mirroring. You will only get 6K support as a secondary canvas for apps which support rendering different content two the second display (video playback, photography display, graphic editors, etc.)

Hoping Apple some something better up their sleeve for WWDC, especially for when a trackpad and keyboard are connected.

Will compare it against my galaxy s7 plus and decide then. I returned an iPhone 12 because the colors just don't pop compared to a galaxy phone. My 2018 iPad 12.9 went to my daughter cause the galaxy s7 plus display is way better to me. My HP x360 Spectre OLED display is way better than my M1 MBP to me. I don't really care all that much about processing power, but I do care about image quality and for so many Apple products they just are not as good to me. I'm not a die hard for Apple OS. I like them all.

when you use an ipad as a music creation tool you need wired headphones because of latency. There are hundreds of insane apps for synthesizer, sampler, grooveboxes, drums, guitar amps, effects etc.
Music creation on an ipad is next century (not vhs last century) and you get all of the awesome power of an ipad pro.
btw i am on my third dongle dongle to connect headphones and USB Power, because most dongles are chinese crap.
So, Ipads should have headphone jacks like Macs.

When the time comes and there will be Final Cut Pro for iPad you will run in the same latency problems with wireless hps.

My newest Mac is a 7 years old model. With the way Macs are priced if I get a new one I’ll want to keep it a long time if it doesn’t break down.

Just got mine delivered too! The screen size of the 12.9 is massive compared to my 2018 11”!
There is this halo effect on the edges of the screen and it seems to blend and fade to the black borders. Anyone else notice this?View attachment 1778072
