I just got a M1 Macbook Air and happen to have a Dell D6000 dock from awhile back. I updated the Dell D6000 to the latest firmware from August 2021 with my Windows PC, but still am not able to get the M1 Macbook Air working via DisplayPort to my 34" ultrawide 3440x1440. It only works via the HDMI port on the D6000 dock but then I only get 1920x1080 resolution. Has anyone gotten the D6000 working on Displayport to an external monitor? Thanks.
From above detail. The D6000 HDMI port does not depend on DisplayLink technology - it appears to be a different subsystem. Display port DOES depend on Display Link drivers in the MAC - as does the use of the USB ports (that includes the gigE port) - the Display link module in the D6000 will activate "on demand".

I am using HDMI. I have the latest D6000 firmware (same date as your update). I have the latest M1 display link drivers loaded in the Macbook Pro M1. (DisplayLink Manager Graphics Connectivity1.6-EXE.pkg).

I have working HDMI, USB and GigE hosted by the D6000.

The last couple of days the setup has been very stable - I can connect / disconnect the USBC connection to the Macbook, play with the macbook elsewhere, then return and re dock to the D6000 using the USBC and have USB and HDMI working.

But I have had times where the HDMI connected screen does no wake up but the Macbook thinks it is there (the cursor will disappear when moved to the "dead" screen).

I did not get to finish the above . . .

When running HDMI I get 2560 x 1440 on a Philips BDM3270 (native resolution). So I do not think D6000 HDMI is limited to 1920x1080 . . did you check the screen scaling when it ran using HDMI?

Powering off the D6000, unplugging the HDMi, plugging in the Display port - powering on the display port - no video and not hidden screen either ie mouse constrained to the macbook screen.

UnPlugging the USB C from the macbook / plugging it back in again . . no display. System report shows only the built in Retina display. The USB ports ARE listed and appear to be operational (gigE working)

Unplug the USBC - fit the USBA adapter - connect to the macbook via a dongle. Still no display port video.

Restarted the macbook . . . . did not restart . . had to force a reboot . . .sigh . .

I will go back to HDMI now - it works for me. Display port is a write off I think.
