M1 Studio: Possible to install MacOS without internet?

I was under the impression that internet activation has been required for several years now, simply due to Find My Mac protections in order to prevent stolen equipment from being reused.

While I see this useful for portable devices (iPhone, iPad and Macbooks), having this requirement on a desktop computer is rather asinine.
