My mini has more stuff running than the MacBook so that shouldn’t be the problem.

I also made sure that there was nothing running in the background

Their Q&A on Amazon says no drivers are required for ethernet on macOS (at least from Mojave it says). Has anyone tried it without installing drivers (or after uninstalling the drivers)?

I have no extra drivers besides what ships with Apple Silicon Big Sur. The driver we are talking about is the default ethernet driver in Big Sur. I did file a bug report with Apple but I doubt that it'll get any attention.

They collected a few metrics on my system, but somehow the performance is much better when their analyze software is running..

Anyway, I hope that they are able to fix it.
The performance is mostly around 600Mbit/s which is super slow

Has anyone found a solution to this? I'm seeing 600MBit/s using iperf3 as well (macOS 11.3.1), whilst no issues on older (Intel) Macbook Pro. Driving me crazy!

I never figured out how to make it any faster and it doesn't even work right now. (it wont get an IP address from my router.)

Based on info from another thread on here, I got Apple’s Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet and Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapters.

I get a consistent 940/940 now either plugged straight into the M1 MBA or through the Caldigit Element Hub.
