.2 pounds? Give up that screen and 120Hz, ok.

You forgot the better speakers, better keyboard, etc.

I work on large text-based documents and databases so screen size is more valued to me than refresh rate. On battery I use low power mode so I don’t even benefit from that 120hz rate most of the time. I’ll admit the mini LED screen is appreciable, esp with HDR content.

As for the speakers, I almost never use them. I’m 90% of the time on headphones. And I’m not sure the 14’ keyboard is better than the 15’. I’ve heard the opposite.

Overall, I travel a lot and a couple 100 grams can make a difference.

If the 13 and 15in. MacBook Air currently with M3 is getting M4 does that mean the entry M2 Air is going to get M3?

If so that means the MacBook Air lineup will be even more killer than it already is.

Why?

Light use on battery, I'm getting a full work day out of a max on automatic (ditto for my M1 Pro), never bothered with low power mode on either my M1 Pro or m4 max unless I was trying to shut the fan up under load.

I have a fully specced out M1 Max. This configuration is notorious for reducing battery life. The M1 Pro and later gens Max don't have this problem as much.

An hour of Teams meeting eats 20+ % of battery!
