But there giving me a i5 instead of my i7

I would take it. For the 13" the difference between the i5 and i7 is minimal. And the i5 will likely run cooler.

And it makes sense they are offering you the 2017 since they may be the old model after next week and have to be sold at a big discount. It did not make sense that they would have a 2015 model lying around.

They gave me and i7 I paid 300 plus 300 for Apple care plus
