Cramer is entertaining

Given that "sell on news" is standard advice and likely to happen right after the upcoming financial report, it seems like he is just trying to drive the (currently rising) Apple stock up "with a bullet" so he can make that much more money when he sells after the upcoming report is released.

It is not illegal for Cramer to have a show speculating about investments. And actually he HAS NO VESTED PERSONAL FINANCIAL INTERESTS in the stocks and markets he discusses on the show. Everything he invests in stocks is for a non-profit charity fund he runs. He's already made enough money in his career to easily last 100 lifetimes. Overall, Cramer is a good guy even if he is a little too intense for many, and has definitely helped generate interest in stocks and securities investment, especially for the younger generations by making it entertaining..

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...Cramer's a loud-mouthed moron, who simply spews whatever he thinks will draw viewers. Best thing anyone can do to improve their stock portfolio is to ignore whatever is said by Cramer and every other "professional stock analyst."

"loud-mouthed moron" ? Easy to sit in your basement and criticize everyone else, eh? And I have to laugh at your investment advice, considering Cramer has a net worth of around $100 million that he made in securities. How much are you worth, exactly?

Although I agree with your overall point, I object to your reducing human worth to a monetary value.

cramer

I have never watched a video of someone that irritated me quite so quickly as Jim Cramer just did. What a plonker

Cupertino (PRNewswire),

Reliable sources (100% ex post facto accuracy) stated today that while the Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) project currently codenamed "Revolutionary™" provides yet-unseen real-time communications capabilities, this will be the new government standard for secure communications, presumably including the TSA. As part of the TSA's planned subsumation of all intra-continental travel within the US, this will allow for the instantaneous transmittal of traveler data. The source (speculated but unconfirmed as one "IJ Reilly") also indicated a widespread medical application, presumably part of the CDC's competition with the TSA in the inoculation of the populace in preface to the coming alien invasion. Indications are that the dental arena will be the venue for the initial rollout. NBC, CBS, and Fox are rumored to be part of this portion of the implementation, bringing HD-quality broadcasts to the mouths of millions (iMouth™). The iMouth will also provide PVR-like capabilities for conversations and vision to be stored via Bluetooth connection to the users' iPhone, and forwarded via 3G (or WiFi, where available) to the TSA, informing them of the user's whereabouts, and thus completing the preposterous circle.

I deny everything. I was misquoted, out of context.

In a statement today, Mr. Reilly reiterated his statements concerning Revolutionary™, using the word "boom" to describe the effect he felt it would have on Apple's shareholder value. He confirmed availability in the US "within 60 days" and hinted that "worldwide rollout, except for Canada, would proceed rapidly thereafter."

The USB port on the Apple Tv will hook up to a new iSight camera allowing home users to video conference.;)

Since I don't know him personally, I will give him the benefit of the doubt in regards most criminal enterprises, but I find it hard to believe both that he manipulates stocks "for charity," and that he himself has nothing personal to gain. If true, that's certainly a "wacky" business to be in to say the least and an argument that a trade practices investigator would probably laugh at.

He has admitted on video to purposely manipulating stocks and bragged about how to do it etc. I have seen the video myself. Being a Canadian I am unsure about the specifics of US laws in the matter but I *believe* that this would be illegal regardless of whether it was done for charity or not.

That being said, most stock brokers illegally manipulate stocks (and their customers accounts) day in and day out, so perhaps he is just the only one stupid enough to admit it on national television.

He is a bigwig at thestreet.com, which sells a subscription service. He also
gets paid handsomely for his TV show. He uses the picks for his "charitable
trust" to hype his other two richly rewarding enterprises. Saying he has
no vested personal interest is incorrect.

This is why context is so important. Many things are taken out of context. Though I do agree that a product like this would be interesting.

A product like what? iChat?

Anybody who didn't get that he was just talking about iChat is either younger than 10, just stupid, or anti-apple to the max. If you fall into the former, you probably aren't posting on MacRumors, and if you fall into the second or third category, well, slap yourself hard enough to make a change. Yeah this Cramer guy is annoying as hell, but he's not that hard to understand, come on now.
