Mac mini g4 thermal pad size?

Of all that I have seen, the G4 Mac mini GPU thermal pads seem to be 0.5 mm in thickness. As for a particular brand? Your choice / personal preference.
After a great deal of research, unable to find exact Apple specs for that particular GPU thermal pad. Measured an old pad with calipers here and found it nearest to 0.5 mm in thickness. So I installed a Gelid Extreme 0.5 mm pad for a couple of weeks and then after another disassembly / inspection… found very little evidence of any actual imprint on the surface from that GPU on that 0.5 mm pad.
Now have obtained a similar Gelid Extreme thermal pad of 1.0 mm thickness to eventually test. (Thinking that after 20 years with the original pad… 0.5 mm might be a compression of an original 1.0 mm pad?)
Maybe someone knows the exact thickness required?
