Apple hardware in general keeps its value well compared to PC's, but if the Mini is discontinued, or massively upgraded, then resale value could drop.

I Would be worried about the power of the Mac Mini, and would atleast look into something like the Macbook, or iMac, as a good alternative.

But it sounds more logical that a discontinuation of the product would make resale value rise, since it's more hard to get.
Anyway, it's good to hear that Mac fetches a better price second hand than PC.

Why are you worried about the power? As long as it's enough for my needs, I'm happy. :p
I don't see how most people would need any more horsepower, except if you're playing PC games or work professionally. 1,86 Ghz Core2Duo is enough for most contemporary applications, and they don't exactly get that much more CPU-demanding.
