Yep, Aussie store is down, just as I was going to place my SL up-to-date order. I'm pretty sure when the site comes back there will be a new upgraded SL section (Pre-order?) and other stuff. I'm almost certain now that were seeing SL on the 28th. Can't wait to see the improvements. I'm a new mac user, I love leopard, and just the fact of seeing a new, improved version of something that is already so good gets me excited!

I would laugh when stores would open and the updates won't be anything SL-related
Well since everyone else thinks so it probably is related.
It's bloody typical! The one day I go to the Apple online store to buy something (a refurb shuffle, please) and it's being updated.

I'm not aware of an event in the US Monday, so my guess is it will be back up by opening of retail stores. I'm also betting it won't be back up by the time I fall asleep. I would, however, bet on them coming back online about 5 minutes afterwards...

NZ store is online, checking to see if anything has been updated.

If its a small update, i reckon within the hour. If it's a big one, may be 10am Cupertino time?
I'm hoping for SL, but could be something relating to the 17" MBP - may be one with SD slot like the other MBP's...?
I was on the store a few minutes ago, checking prices for work, went on to the Xserve page and I got the nice sticky note.
Apple is probably the only company that gets more visitors to its online store when it's closed than when it's online
