Do know if it would be ok to do it the other way round? Buy the upgrade for one computer but also use it on the computer eligible for the up-to date disk?

You could certainly use an upgrade disk on any Mac using Leopard. The up-to-date disk will almost certainly just be an upgrade disk at a lower price. Going on past experience anyway (iLife up-to-date and a few others) It's generally not worth the hassle for Apple to manufacture multiple different builds of an OS

I had the same question. I called the Apple Sales number and they said it was possible to do a clean install without having Leopard or Snow Leopard pre-installed with the UTD disc.
That's awesome! I really HATE os upgrades, I go only for clean installs on every major release.

Thanks

It's still written "Coming September 2009 with every new Mac." here. When did you do this screenshot?

Well that one is probably true. Getting SL discs ready for upgraders is one thing and preparing new hardware for pre-installed SL is another. It may very well be some time (late) september until new hardware has SL, so if you want that you'd probably be better off waiting until october.

How hard is it to place the 10.6 install DVD inside the Mac boxes? Like that dude in Japan got?

It's not hard... he's saying that it'll be awhile before the machines ship with it pre-installed.

Until then, people will just be receiving up to date disks that have been slipped in the box.

Noticed this on UK Apple store;

Actually this has been confirmed.

10A432 is not a GM. The Japanese guy, who received Mac mini along with the Snow Leopard Install DVD, finally installed it and reported that the final build is 10A436.

EDIT: ok so I hear 10A436 is not GM either, wtf? Someone stated on twitter, http://twitter.com/john_reid_esq but should we believe him?

I have a rule of thumb; anyone with esquire or so and so 'the third' is a wanker and should be ignored at all costs; pompus asses attempting to bring more attention to themselves than they they deserve; kinda like people who have double hyphenated names thinking they're cultured and exotic.

The only way to confirm this is whether ADC receives a new build of Mac OS with a new intro video and there is claims he made that there is a new build of the server on its way (thank god for google cache when roaches try to make statements then retract them by canceling their accounts):

Thanks, I thought that would be the case. But I am not sure if the license conditions would allow it.

i hope you understand the :p
this is a joke, a fake, for the buzz :p
like the purchaser receives snow leopard disc :D

Pre-Ordered mine = Free shipping  Costed €29 in total. The disc was like €20.50 and the VAT was €8.50 or something

When will Snow Leopard be on the Macs in the Apple Store? Friday? As I want to look at it before I possibly get my first Mac. Also do you think there will be a guided tour for Snow Leopard?
