Just came back from best buy 1 hour ago. Got PNY 8gb kit (two 4gb chips) for 45.76 cents including tax. Normally 60 dollars. Sale ends saturday he said.

And even though the link doesn't show it mine had a picture of the mac symbol on it. So its meant for mac. Both on the shelf had the mac logo. So not bad.

Running Apple Hardware Test to verify all is good. Will reply after its done.

Apple Hardware Test says all is OK. But my temps with 8gb went up to 65c cpu and 54c ambient. Even with a table fan blowing on the side of the mini. Before it was 34c in the morning with 2gb or ram. But maybe that was after 8 hours of sleep. 1 hour of running apple hardware test might have made temps higher. And now after booting up for 5 minutes now and replying here it is 52c cpu. So maybe hardware test is little strain on the cpu.

Well, my CPU never runs cooler than 67°, 75-85° while working. Everything below 100 °C is absolutely no problem.
