That's not good. If I want to buy iMac/Mini I have to sell my PC to have enought money, my PC at the moment gives me at least some money in early 2010 I probably won't get nothing for it  , besides I will work in a computer shop only until August, that gives me total 1000€ (for two months), if I wait I will probably spend that money for other thinks :D (I want to go to holidays to).

At the moment I have 400€ + 300€ (for my old PC) + 500€ (sallary) = 1200€ and probably I will get some money for my birthday so let's say 1300€.

Now I don't know, should I wait or should I buy, at the moment the design of iMac is really not so "breath-taking" do you think it will be changes in design too?

There might be a design change in the next revision, but I don't know what Apple would change about it. Well since you need to save money, there may be some updates while you are saving money.

In 10th of August (in 2 weeks) I will have al that money, so I don't need to save cash now, I alredy did. :D

Just make sure you buy the iMac with 4GB of ram to run xp in a virtual machine. Apart from that congrats on (thinking) of purchasing an iMac:apple:.

If you need extra money you could always wait about 2 months before you need the iMac (you said next year (2010?)) and purchase it then. Basically you haven't blown all your cash in one month and you still have some left.

I've made my final decision. I will take PC, after all when it will be assemled it won't look so bad:

I really like OS X and overall Apple design, but here is what I don't like:

1) only 1 year warranty (in my country I cannot buy Apple care - ba****)
2) very difficult to upgrade hardware
3) price is simply to big for student like me for good models like Mac Pro (I don't know why in commercials there are always students, I think that 80% of them in my country don't have enought money for a Mac)
4) their way of not telling in advance what would be the changes in models and when - you can buy today a Mac for 1800€ and tommorow there will be new and yours will be on sale for 1400€ (I have to work one month every day to earn 500€)
5) 24" iMac still don't have so good LCD as my NEC
6) Finnaly if anything would gone wrong I cannot afford to have iMac on servis for 1 month I need computer every day

Looks a bit ugly:D but it will do what you need it to do so good choice.

1. Really, no applecare. (you dont really need it but it can be a lifesaver)
6. This could happen with the pc as well but as you work in a computer shop the pc is a wise choice.

I will go to Apple store next week once again and make my final decision, but at the moment I'm for PC.

Yes, I cannot buy Apple care, I cannot even create an account in iTunes (well I can lie and say I'm from USA and it works but....) so I can't buy music and apps for iPod... and afterall I cannot buy iPhone (only in Italy and Austria) but then I need to jailbreak it to work. Yes Apple have a few really nasty tricks.

It's true my PC can die too, but I can quickly find out where is the problem and simply buy new parts (for few €€€) and when I get it back from servis simply sell them for a beer :D .

But I won't have that good looking and fully functional OS X. :(

No it's 20" MultiSync 20WGX2 Pro.

Anyway I've been in Apple store, and 24" is simply to big, so I ordered 20" with 2,66 CPU and 640GB HDD.

It's true that if I would have i7 that it would be faster but OS is simply cool and it's super to work with him.
