Mac OS League - 2013 MacRumors NFL Fantasy Football League

Well, this was the most poorly attended of our MR drafts. We have about half of our players show up. I think the auto did okay for some and others I think will have a harder time this season. Anyway, best of luck everyone and I'll post some early analysis later.

Now, now... be nice, we all know that not everyone's schedules are the same and for some last night's draft could have been at a time when they couldn't attend. Overall, we've had good participation as a whole between the three leagues so far.

And, if my memory serves me correctly the early analysis says gibbz team is better then yours! :D
 
This is the second year in a row that I have missed the draft. Damn it.... ugh ugh. Sometimes life or sleep kicks in and well you just sleep on by.

I am actually somewhat pleased with what I got though!

I am still going to trash talk and take this one to the very bitter end!!!!!!

Yeah, I had planned to attend but just finished my written proposal for my grad school qualifying exams and needed some sleep. :)

That said, I did make sure to change my auto-draft settings before the draft so I didn't end up with 4 QBs like I did last year (and last year turned out quite alright!). There were a few odd choices that I would have made a little differently had I been there, but I'm not unhappy with my draft overall.

Quarterbacks:
A little concerned that I ended up with two read-option QBs... so we'll see about that. Newton should be better this year, after the expected sophomore slump...

Running Backs:
Running backs look okay... sad that I missed out on Doug Martin, but Lynch and Ridley should be solid. If Lamar Miller can become a clear-cut #1, I should be okay depth-wise. Outside of that, I have some nice handcuffs on the bench.

Receivers:
Marshall should be very good. And Nicks and Jennings have the potential to be good... but they definitely have question marks. Stevie Johnson is solid, but who know who's going to be throwing to him? Givens is a pretty unknown commodity. Witten should be solid as always... but need to see more TDs from him this year. Overally, I'd say the receivers are my weakest position group... but have some potential for putting up good numbers for me.

Defense and Special Teams:
Pittsuburgh? Maybe I won't have to switch week in and week out like I did last year... so, ok. Hope they're decent. Kicker? Who cares? ;)

Yeah, for sure. Hope I didn't sound like a total jerk. Too early and no coffee :)

Hopefully we will have plenty of opportunities to smack talk this season!

Well we all did! LOL... I kid..... I kid...... But someone who is the commish and wins all four years..... coincidence! LOL :D

Trust me I know this isn't the case as I have won one season! Looking to repeat!!!!

i can vouch!

all the sudden a pop-up said the draft had been paused. then in the chat area, you can see the commish had just joined the draft! and it was his pick!

some sketchy stuff commish! :D

That is exactly what I'm talking about. I think we need to have a Congressional hearing on this matter.:p

Okay, so this is the grading done by ESPN. I'm assuming they are comparing things to their analysis of a standard scoring 10 team league. The comments are not really mine, but auto generated by the system.

Wow so AJ green, ray rice, MJD, Matty Ice, Reggie Wayne and Vernon Davis = a C. Makes perfect sense. :p
