Holy crap! A career game for Peyton Manning! 462 yards passing & 7 TDs!!!!! Scored 60 points for the Jackalopes!!!!!!!!!

And.... you just happen to have Demaryius Thomas on your team too!

Those homer draft picks sure are working out. ;)

My son and I were watching the game, and early on we were upset that Manning kept throwing TDs to everyone but Demaryius Thomas.

Holy *****!!!!!!!!!!!!! And this is after one game!!!!! This might be a very long season for the rest of us.

Yeah, my son and I could hardly contain ourselves watching the game last night. But it is only one game, and no one expects Peyton to do this on a weekly basis. That said, Peyton will score a ton of fantasy points this year.

Go Jackalopes!

Just curious, is 20 for a RB and 13 for a WR good in this league? Seemed like it to me but all leagues score differently...

Peyton! Wow... In another league of mine, the guy I'm playing against left Peyton, D.Thomas, and Welker all on the bench! He had 150 points from 3 players sitting on the bench. Peyton alone had 102 because we have so many bonuses set up so it's a high scoring league. I got pretty lucky though. :D

I would say 20 is good for a running back and 13 is okay for a WR in our league. We start 9 players and generally an average score of 15 points per player, team total of 135 should give you a chance to be competitive on any given week. If we look at last year the highest scoring team in the league scored 1688 for the season which is an average of 129.8 per game. QB scores this year will be a little lower because I adjusted the scoring from 1 point per 20 passing yards to 1 point per 25 passing yards. However, interceptions now only cost you -1 instead of -2. The only other real major scoring change is that defenses are now penalized if they give up more than 27 points in a game. For example, with last year's scoring Baltimore would have scored 5 points last night. Under this years system they only score 1 point because they are penalized -4 for given up more than 35 points.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I'd suggest familiarizing yourself with the rules and scoring system of the league.

Ok cool. I hate how every league I play in has different scoring. Messes me all up. :p

I'm sort of a football purist so I try to keep things really basic when it comes to positions and scoring. I won't go into all of the details because you can look it up for yourself, but the basics are the basics and the foundation of our scoring system.

- All TD's are 6 points whether rushing, receiving, or passing. I've never understood why a QB was only given 4 points in some leagues for throwing a TD. A TD is 6 points, why would you make it anything less?

- 1 point for every 25 passing yards.

- 1 point for every 10 yards earned rushing or receiving.

- 1 point per reception.

- 3 points for a 30-39 yard FG, 4 points for a 40-49 yard FG, and 5 points for a 50+ yard FG

- Team defenses earn points for sacks, fumble recoveries, interceptions, TD's, blocked kicks, and a range of points based on what they allow the opposing team to score. I don't do yardage points at all. I don't care if you give up 400 yards if you make the needed plays to keep points off the board.

Makes sense. That's the way I started playing originally years ago, so it should be pretty familiar.

Hoping to break the 200 point barrier.:p

Well, it looks like I've got a chance to pull off a win this week against the Horse Wranglers. Unless my players totally collapse in the remaining games.
