Mac OS X 10.5.2 Soon? New Seed.

To echo the question asked above: does anyone know how long before they release seeds to the public? I assuming this is the seed they are going to release.

I really want the Nikon D300 to be added to the raw formats to be supported. If it doesn't come with this build I'm switching to LR.

waist=hips, waste=garbage.

and the macbook air is essentially a macbook in an aluminum enclosure with an LED lit screen and a touchpad... just a little thin without a few ports...
Great little portable, but when you need a Macbook Pro for work only a Macbook Pro is capable enough to do the really big jobs. Editing, rendering, etc.

The one thing I was looking forward too, but looks like I'll have to wait even longer. Hopefully soon, I need my OS update fix.

ya seriously i still rent DVDs from the movie store!!! Hmmm....to bad i cant rent a MBP at the Movie store

10.5.2 was the most anticipated release out of Macworld for me... I've been checking for it constantly since the keynote, but no luck. I chose to update both of my machines to Leopard because it's just good enough to run, but the little things are starting to annoy the heck out of me. I'm tired of force-relaunching Finder...

I don't expect 10.5.2 to solve everything, I'm expecting 10.5.3 to really be the stable version. .1 was stuff they new about before they shipped. .2 will probably handle the big issues they got from users and developers. .3 will probably be their first chance go after the little stuff.

I've read the lead post for this thread a few time now, and I don't see a darn word about MacBook Pros. If people are going to use every thread as an opportunity to whinge, this is going to become quite unbearable very quickly.

And don't forget airport extreme:

I'm hoping bundled with 10.5.3 there will be an update to the airport extreme. Airport disk rarely works (and crashes constantly) and I cannot yet get consistant N speeds through my Airport Extremes. I guess the solution to my N problem is to...buy ANOTHER extreme?

Not to mention the finder relaunch issues and back to my mac not working right.

It's just annoying when we're all there watching and waiting for new cool products and computer updates when all they give us is that same iTunes crap. "Now you can view your downloads in some different way than before! And now for a 15 minute filler of demos and movie studio CEO b.s.!"

It's like a slap in the face. Yes, we get it. You can download videos through iTunes. No one cares. iTunes movie rentals? Whoop dee doo. That's about as exciting as reading the nutritional facts on bottled water.

Just give us what we all want to see: new hardware!!

List view is back.

Thats good. I wonder what steve jobs or whoever else made the final decision, was thinking.

They shouldn't have removed list as an option but I do like stacks. Don't know why everyone is so down on it.

To answer my own question. Build 9b16 announced on Nov. 12th. Build 9b18 announced on Nov. 14th. 10.5.1(9b18) was released on Nov. 15th.

Of course it doesn't mean it will be released soon, but I'm hopeful.

Actually, my Marketing professor (who apparently is as much of a Mac geek as myself) was talking about Macworld today in class, specifically about the iTunes Movie rentals having the potential to revolutionize movie renting in the same way the NetFlix service did several years ago. I am sure there were people who thought NetFlix was worthless when it first arrived.

I haven't found Leopard buggy at all. Then again, I haven't used it very extensively. I don't think they are going to release new MBPs seeing as they "updated" them in Nov. and Apple just released a lot of new products at Macworld (even though they are technically consumer products). I just hope when they do update it, they give it a new case since the current one dates back to the Powerbook G4.

Most of the issues I've encountered (besides the wonderful nuke the users and home folders bug) have been network related so I can see how most people wouldn't run into them. I'm happy that OS X doesn't hang when it loses a drive like it used to.

I'm looking forward to it...but would rather wait until is ready...

same here. I think it was quite misguided to expect 10.5.2 to be announced at macworld. Imagine Steve saying "...And one more thing, we have an update to leopard fixing lots of bugs!" I'm sure that would have brought the house down.
Hopefully, it will come out in a couple of weeks. And, yes, like everyone else I want the list view for stacks.

I presume it will be released with the delivery of the MBA. It would be great if the gesturing will also function on MB and MBP.

For the time capsule, I've been using a Ximeta drive sled ($39 at frys and down load driver from the Ximeta site) connected to my Dlink N wifi router and works just fine for Time Machine.

As far as stability since I've been using pcs for years, I'm used to crashing so no big deal and remember using Macs in the mid 80s when you needed to make sure you saved before printing, as 50% of the time the mac would crash when printing using apple talk and an apple writer.
