I bet I don't notice a difference.

So where's Logic 8.0.3? Bugfixes and better stability are DESPERATELY needed.

I know, I'm trying to think what else they could come up with for the 10.5.6 upgrade, because there isn't much else to do between now and Snow Leopard.

At this point any further .x.x updates are just bugfixes, with the occasional additions of things like compatibility with new file formats.

I'm old enough to remember System 7.5.5, probably one the worst OS headaches there ever was.

My first Mac was a Performa 630CD running System 7.5.0. System 7.5.5 was a welcome improvement over the constant crashes and having to manually hold open titlebar menus!

Areas of Change
- Fixed issue with DVI and display detection

This (fingers crossed).

The reason I reverted to 10.5.4 - because 10.5.5 screwed up quite a few MacBook owner's external displays - as in they didn't work at all anymore.

Who'd have thought a attaching an ACD to my MacBook when it runs 10.5.5 gives nothing but a black screen. 10.5-10.5.4 are fine though, as is XP and Vista, so it was not a hardware issue as I feared.

Looks like they got a lot of things fixed :)

They spent so long testing this one. Perhaps it is to be the last 10.5 update?

Nah, I don't see Snow Leopard until March/April - I think we'll go to 10.5.9 at least. 10.5.6 seems like a lot of fixes so 10.5.7 onwards may be smaller and more frequent.

The first time I read this I thought it said "Mac OS X 10.6 Release Imminent" and I was all set with my "YEAH RIGHT" comment. But yeah, nevermind.

It is imminent. Imminent sometime next year.

lol @ the 1 finger gesture. That's how I feel about not getting the 4 finger gesture.

C'mon Copy and Paste!

Oh wait, wrong OS......
:D

10.5.5 has been working very well. I just hope for a little more stability. Safari has been crashing a lot in the past couple of weeks :confused:, even on simple, uncomplicated webpages.
