That's quite a lot of fixes. I'll be interested to read the patch notes when it is released, to see what exactly was improved.

Is it coming today? I bet it will! I was wrong the other times but, this time I almost guarantee that I might be right by chance!

Why so impatient folks?. Wishing your lives away isn't going to make it come ANY sooner, and let's evaluate what this is; it's just a software update for an OS, and you can't do anything about the delay, so why not just learn a little patience and do something ELSE to take your minds off this.

Problem with today's society is that everyone wants everything NOW (or when they sulk or stamp their feet enough). Spoiled society wants answers and results, like YESTERDAY... well guess what people - life is hard sometimes, and you just got to ride with it. Grow up.

Good advice, but this is what we're doing to help time pass... we talk about it. In todays society almost everything is instant. Instant downloadable music and movies... internet in our pockets... the world's information at our fingertips and you wonder why we're impatient. If it wasn't for rumor sites, we wouldn't know an update was coming soon so we wouldn't be waiting for it. However, since we know it's coming, it seems like they're taking forever with it. When I don't know something's coming, waiting for it doesn't exist.

Many people on these boards are feeble minded.

Son...

I have a $2300 machine that can't keep a wireless connection without it sporadically dropping out with timeouts and what not. Neither can it keep a bluetooth connection to another Apple gadget, my wireless keyboard. Some days it works fine for hours, next day nothing can work. And how do I know it's not something other than my Mac? That would be because the cheap a** pc (a loaner) I got next to it as a replacement because my Mac isn't reliable, is working without a hitch. Go figure.

Oh, and did I forget to mention there are serious bugs due to poor graphics drivers in some of the software I use? Serious as in disappearing textures, cursor bugs and what not.

And slow... as in SLOOOOW network sharing and so on, so on...

10.5.7 seems to be able to alleviate some of these problems but no, Apple has to cram more iTunes and other crap or whatever into a OS update before they can release it.

It was the fourth machine I got. The first three one's were considered DOA by the store. So it's been checked up on by Apple professionals who says it's working according to specifications and I've been around computers for several years. Many of them years as a professional.

So I'm sorry I'm impatient for not being able to use the $2300-MacBook I bought way past yesterday, properly and not being able to depend on Apple to actually deliver the quality I came to them for. My last MacBook Pro was great, but this one is turning out to be crap considering the price tag. But I guess they really needed to raise their bank statement, with them being so poor and all.

Sorry for annoying you by feeling I might actually have a right to be a little grumpy.

you might want to make sure you're setting it up right. sounds like all your problems aren't related.

I've tried everything between here and heaven. Well, most of it anyway. As I wrote I've got other machines on same network working without any hickups but I guess I just got the 'best' machine from one of the lemon batches or something.

Sad part is, I've been through a lot of forums and other channels and I'm not alone with these problems. I like the Mac hardware and software but I've never been in agreement with how Apple the company handles things but that's a story for another day.

Either way, thank you for caring!

EDIT: Here a new angle... Apple will release 10.5.7 when Windows 7 gets released so they can compare the whole OS of Microsoft to what they did with a measly .7-update! :p
