Sabre reminds me too much of the LeSabre.

I liked Cougar. Lynx is all right, but it doesn't ring with me as much as being something really solid and powerful.

Wow a lot of people like cougar, sabre would be good. When I think of Cougar I think of speed, its very fast and very efficent.

I'll go with Lynx. I think we'll be in trouble come 10.8 (if we get that far)

I think that Leopard will probably be the last cat name they use, unless they go with Cougar

I mean any other cat name would be like a last resort, I think they'll think up a reasonably cool new 'theme' of names which they can stick to for the next bunch of releases.

I vote for Cougar since it just sounds right and has a familarity to Jaguar which everyone is accustomed to. Its definitely gonna be 10.6, I just can feel it right now. :D

Lynx is definitely gonna be a future version of the Mac OS, since Apple patented both names (Cougar) sometime back I believe.

I still find it hard to believe they will continue the decimal points up to 10.9 or further. Like I said in a post earlier, with Mac OS 11.0 Lynx might be used as a marketing piece to signify a link to the past and link to the next generation of operating systems from Apple. Then with 11.1 they start a new set of codenames not relating to cats. Its possible they might not even use codenames in the next generation marketing for Mac OS anymore.

Somehow, I suspect they might use names of special places like Microsoft is doing: Fiji, Vienna.

e.g. 11.1 - Negril (a beautiful place in Jamaica near the beaches);)
11.2 - Maui
11.3 - Morocco

Yea right. What's wrong with 10.10? I mean unless there is something radical they wont go to os 11 i think. Plus, if they did, they wouldnt use Lynx since it is a cat.

Also, I have a feeling apple will not copy microsoft after they make fun of them. I mean seriously
