Marble was supposed to be in Snow Leopard but I don't think the coders could put it together fast enough.

I also believe the Marble interface will be shown on the new Apple device 1/27.

I would expect a brief intro to 10.7 at WWDC but not too many details. I think the focus will be on the new tablet and iPhone SDK. The iPhone is the reason WWDC has sold out the last two years, you can bet it'll be the focus this year again.

I'm really getting tired of all this back and forth with the user interface. Apple picks one app and completely changes the UI for it, then 37 years later it makes it into the rest of the OS.

Hopefully they do change it because Aqua is dated-looking now for 2010.

How long have we been hearing about the bloody marble interface now?

Yeah, I don't even think Apple will use it. I'm expecting a darker Quicktime X look across the system to match their iMac, MacBook Pro and ACD Displays with a glass black border around the screen. Apple generally tries to match their UI with the look of their latest products.

I want PPC support (i.e., 10.6 special case because of lack of features).

Beta at WWDC 2010, RC at WWDC 2011, release August 2011.

I bet we see it before August 2011 if the developer release is distributed at WWDC '10. I'd put my money on March or April '11. It shouldn't take as long as 10.6 b/c 10.6 took care of the complex under the hood rewrite. Also I don't think 10.6 can carry Apple for another 20 months.

Minimum RAM: 6 GB
Recommended: 12 GB

Only Mac Pros (Late 2011) supported!

Sorry guys!

Hopefully with the March-April'ish release of Apple's new gadget this means they are ahead in development of 10.7 which could mean a true beta release at WWDC with the RTM set for Jan 2011.

And I'm guessing OS 10.7 will have true multi-touch considering Apple might be putting out a 22" Multi-Touch iMac.
