I sure hope they include PPC support. It'll piss me off if I go out and buy a new PowerBook G5 only to find out it's not supported by 10.7.

This post is funny on so many geeky levels... well 2 levels. But it is funny. Beautiful edit. I even get the reference (which is rare these days).

Incidentally, no idea what features it might have. I do think that a simultaneous dual boot would be pretty great. I am able to sort of do that with Parallels on a difference 'Space'. It makes checking Windows compatibility on the web soo much easier.

No predictions, but a wish list. Oddly, this is the same wishlist i had for 10.6.

•Finder needs an update. Its simplicity is getting in the way of productivity.
•Unify the damn gui!
•Snapping windows like Windows 7 has would be great

Why do I have this feeling that MacOS X 10.6 may be the last major development of the MacOS X line?

I (in my humble opinion!) wouldn't be surprised that Apple will announce the before the end of 2009 the development of MacOS XI 11.0, the first major OS architectural change in the MacOS design since the original MacOS X 10.0 with full ZFS support and the "Marble" interface standard. With beta kits becoming available to developers by WWDC in June 2010....

Steve Jobs said somewhere and sometime ago, that OS X is the OS for the next two decades for them. It might have been said at the introduction of OS X or later (of course, couldn't be earlier), but OS X seems the way to go for the next future.

What I'd like to see is a return to PPC stability in modern Apple machines.
My iBook still feels more stable than my current MBP.

Shall we start a petition for Apple to include PPC support in 10.7?

By the time 10.7 is out likely I'll have bought a cheap used intel mac at some computer recycling warehouse for 100 bucks and sunk in 500 for upgrades again so I won't be worried about PPC support

Yes! And not only that, when I install 10.7 on my PPC, I want the OS to always put "Pro" and "Collector's Edition" on the end of my machine's name. So Profiler will tell me I have a PowerBook G5 Pro Collector's Edition. :p

Whoa, hold on there ... you can't have both a Pro and a Collector's Edition PB G5. That's just not possible.

GUYS! Look what I found hiding in the tubes of the internetwebs!

I think this is the real deal, I don't think this is photoshopped, I can tell from the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time.

So... wanna share the 10.7/PPC G5 joke with those who joined the Apple community after the transition to Intel?
