Hello,

I’m running a trash can Mac on Monterey and was looking to dual boot into a windows 11 partition. I have the partition setup and the windows iso installed but I can’t boot into it. I e tried hitting the alt key upon chime but all I can see is the mac option. I’m lost. I used windows install for the install. I was unsuccessful using boot camp. More than happy to restart using bootcamp but need some pointers if anyone is willing to help. TIA

Depending on the version of Windows 11 you're trying to run, newer versions need both a TPM module and a more recent CPU than the mac pro 6,1 has.

You've been able to bypass those requirements, but i thought that microsoft were actually enforcing them with recent updates (could be wrong tho). Either way, running 11 on a 6,1 is very much not going to work forever.

I actually haven’t used oclp on this yet and am running stock. Is that a requirement?
No, that's my fault. I just assumed you were using OCLP. I don't know much about the trashcan Macs, so I just assumed you needed OCLP to be running later versions of MacOS on those models.

Ignore my previous comment.

So I’ve actually tried a couple versions at this point. Nothing has brought me to a boot screen naturally or holding alt

I assumed before that windows iso installed implies that you're trying to boot from a DVD. Is that not the case?
