Mac Pro 8800gt Aren't Shipping For Me! (Jan orders)

Alright, i'm finally shipped. Ordered on the 10th of January with that accursed 500gb HD, 8800, and airport extreme. Should arrive on the 14th!
 
Per post in another thread here, ordered Jan 11 and finally Prepared For Shipment Feb 12 around 6 pm CST

Well, not much you can do really. Am I happy that I ordered January 8th and it hasn't shipped? No. The ship date says Feb 14. They have given me overnight shipping already but I really don't have any confidence they are going to make the 14th. The fact that I have spent a fortune compared to most should matter. With the exception to RAM, I've basically ordered a maxed out machine. I'll call on the 14th if my status hasn't changed. But realistically, what can I really do except wait. Yeah I can complain in order to get a $200 discount or whatever, but geesh. You'd think those who are spending a fortune would get theirs just as fast if not faster. The fact that they've sent me a survey on how I like my new Mac doesn't make me feel any better either. Anybody have Steve's email?

I just went to Dell to see if they offer quad cores and 8800's and what kind of time frame they ship in. Order today and this delivers in less than 2 weeks:

The 512mb 8800 is the delay there. If you chose the single or dual 768mb 8800 it ships 2/19. I didn't even know there were 768mb 8800's or 1 kW power supplies to run all this stuff.

I'm so tired of stressing. The more I obsess, the more unproductive I become.
 
Based on the slow death of this thread, my guess would be I am very nearly the last person to get his MP.
Lots of calls, lots of sympathy, very little Mac.:(
 
I just went from "not yet shipped" to "prepared to ship"

I ordered Jan 10th.

I also had some issues with my Credit Card blocking the authorization request, which took 12 hours to resolve.

Yours has got to be close!

Woo hoo! My order, placed Jan 21st has finally shipped... but I have to wait for it to ship again since I ordered it through a reseller. :(

I'll probably get it on Monday. Yee haw!
 
I'm getting hosed

I just got off the phone for the third time with Apple. They keep saying my computer hasn't shipped because my credit card keeps declining the charges. I called my credit card company and they said nobody from Apple has attempted any authorizations on my card at all. I waited for a half an hour for them to tell me they were going to try a manual authorization, and then another 15 minutes for them to tell me it was approved ( for the third time). I don't know what is going on at Apple, but I hope my computer has less bugs than thier sales department!:mad: They apologized and offered me $100 credit. I checked my CC account and an authorization was finally made. I have been waiting since Jan 9th, with a delivery date of Friday. My order status still says 'not yet shipped.' I wish I could believe them WTF!

$100 off, free 2 day shipping, and oh yea....A free upgrade to Aperture 2.0 since it was upgraded while I waited...V1.5 shipped early, I opened it to read the manual, they send a full version of 2.0 at the 1.5 academic price, I send back the 1.5 academic version for full credit....no complaints.
 
Well...it arrived at 4:30 PM. I had to sit down and take a breath before I unpackaged the new arrival. Feeling faint, I decided to eat dinner, then jumped right in. I am typing this post on my new Mac Pro. Very quiet, no issues and it looks awesome on my new Samsung 24" (245BW). I love the wireless mouse and keyboard.

I am in love again!!!

Alas, it is finally prepared for shipment!:) I'll cool my jets. They told me it was shipping from CA and not China, so I may actually get it for the week-end!:):):):)
 
Still waiting on 1/17 order

They say they are awaiting a part although they have no knowlege of what that part is.
