Mac Pro Shipping Estimates (Feb Orders)

I ordered a custom machine. 500 GB HDD, WiFi, 8800 GT.

Shipping Estimate: Feb 28, 2008
Arrival Estimate: Mar 5, 2008

Recently shipping estimates for similarly configured machines have reduced from 2-3 weeks to 3-5 business days :rolleyes:. So was just wondering if anybodies order for a similarly configured machine, especially 8800 GT machines, have been updated or shipped :confused:. I ordered mine on the 6th of this month. (Feb 06, 2008). Thanks.

I also ordered mine on the 6th. I swear I saw a few yesterday that shipped with this timeline. Here's to hoping for shipping tonight.
 
Don't worry, I ordered on the 7th, mine got delivered today. My estimate was March 8th. I got free overnight shipping from Apple for my previous issues with the Mac Pro. You MP's will ship in a day or so, maybe less, mine shipped 2-3 hours after going to "prepared for shipping".
 
i ordered on the ninth, same config but no wifi. it's been 'prepared to ship' for just over 24 hours now. starting to wonder what's up.

I checked today morning and my order status was updated to Prepared for Shipment. WooHoo!!!
 
I had to re-order my Mac Pro '08 with 500GB HD and 8800GT on Feb 11th.

"Ships by: Feb 21 - Feb 26"

Hoping for it to get shipped this week, looking at other orders in this thread.
 
I had to re-order my MP 2.8Ghz 8-core with 500GB HDD, 8800GT and AirPort Extreme after a problem with the order I placed on 8th January. Mine has an estimated shipping of between 22nd and 28th February, with delivery between 28th February and 5th March.

I asked the sales guy to put a rush on it and he said he would, but it's been more than 24 hours now, and it's still "Not yet shipped". Not even moved to "Prepared for shipment". Woe :(

i guess it just took them awhile to update the system- mine actually shipped yesterday, though there was no update to the order status until this morning.
it was delivered to the office mailroom a few minutes ago. yay! :D
 
How many people are still waiting? My Feb 6th order hasn't changed at all.

Mine shipped today. Ordered on Feb 6th. 500 GB, WiFi, 8800 GT.
 
I ordered mine with the 8800 card Tuesday the 12th and received an email yesterday that it had shipped. Considering I was originally told that it would take 3 weeks I'm very happy.
 
I noticed yesterday when I checked the tracking on FedEx's site that they (FedEx) are now giving information as to when the next tracking update will come. Mine was last scanned yesterday, and it says that it's due to be scanned today.

I wonder, if it goes all day (and all night) without a scan, should I call FedEx and say, "Hey, the site says it should have been scanned . . . where is it??!?!"

Probably, I won't. Though I have to say that the change in status caught me off-guard. I called Wednesday morning to try to upgrade my shipping, at which time they said, "Ooops, it's already gone out ground." They snuck that shipping date change in there under my radar.

Still no change in status. Considering that other people have had theirs shipped who ordered around the same time as me, it better get shipped today. :mad:
 
Finally reached "Prepared for Shipment." Bank account has been charged, so I'm assuming it's going out tonight. I have overnight shipping, so it should show up tomorrow. (Fedex overnight seems to deliver on Saturdays.)

you were lucky! you asked for it to be shipped today, and it came! now hows about sharing the secret;)!
 
Just ordered mine this morning...

Ships by: Feb 21 - Feb 25
Delivers by: Feb 25 - Feb 29

Cleveland, Ohio

Not sure I understand why some people's delivery dates are into March and I just ordered today.

Don't be too sure I'll get it tomorrow. :) It still hasn't changed status to shipped. It would be torture to have it sit on "Prepared For Shipment" all weekend.

(Especially since I get Monday and Tuesday off.)

Edit: Also apparently Saturday delivery is not guaranteed with overnight. My Cinema Display that I ordered as part of this got delivered on a Saturday though...

Ordered mine on january 12, 2008 and it shipped on february 12, 2008 and it will arrive on february 19, 2008, just 4 more days for me.

2 superdrives
4GB of ram
