neiltc13, I take it you received your machine? what's it like? Too busy enjoying it to comment I suppose?

My order went from "Prepared for Shipment" to "Despatched" in the same day so it looks like I may have shaved a few days off my wait time!
I have the TNT number beginning with 80 but track and trace isn't live yet, so I don't know where it's coming from. I pray for ROI as I'm in England!

EDIT: Shipment estimate brought forward to 15th! Rang TNT, it's in Cork!

I said I can wait, I have 4 working Macs at the house so all is well.

Ah alright for some! This will be my sole machine, currently borrowing someone else's!

It is now closing in on the house should be arriving in the morning!

For the record if it arrives tomorrow that will be 46 day's since I placed my order.

Octo 2.93Ghz, Radeon 4870, and RAID card are my only customizations. Apple was very aplogetic about the delay, even added Apple Care for free so all is well. Tomorrow will hopefully be a good day, last I checked it was less than 300 miles away in Dallas. I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma so soon it will be here.

damn...i think i may have been on the other end of this spectrum...25 hours (that said i ordered a refurb)

then again, some of my upgrades took over 2 weeks to arrive...

but that's shipping for you...it's always going to be a estimate

I think free AppleCare is a pretty decent apology. It's something they can give away that you potentially might never need

Glad it finally got there.

What really surprised me is how beat-up the Mac Pro boxes are upon delivery. My wife's iMac shipped with a plain brown box around the iMac's "pretty" box so it surprised me that the Mac Pros don't ship the same way.

I think iMacs are shipped from China? My Mac Pro shipped from Cali..

I can take some pics of mine tomorrow. Mine ended up looking the same a little rough on the outside but the Pro is in perfect shape.
