Mac Pro - XP or Vista for gaming?

Or is 64 bits Vista less compatible with older games (Richard Burns Rally, Doom 3 etc.) than 32 bits Vista..?

Anyone tried?

I've run Doom 3 and Prey under Vista 64 bit. But Halo doesn't like it. And Quake 4 doesn't want to run.

I'm going to try Windows XP 64 next to see if that changes anything.

I thought Windows XP 64 has worse support than Vista 64?

I am not gamer but I thought games were made to run on 32 bit system, not 64.
