Mac Rumors front page flaw

So when I have firefox/safari open to a full window the dark red borders get cut off like in this photo.

Please fix it!!!!! Thanks

It's been like this to some degree for as long as I can remember. Right now about a sixth of the border is cut off. I'm running the latest version of Safari.

It only happens for users who have stretched their windows quite wide.

To be honest, we're still working on a redesign for the site, and there are a number of minor issues with the current front page that are unlikely to be fixed until the redesign is rolled out. As for when that will occur, I don't really know...when it's ready it'll be deployed.

How are you "maximizing" Safari, when there IS no maximize?

Yes, I know you can resize a window, but that's not "maximize".

You should know what he means. He means stretch it out as far as you can.

I've stumbled across this, it's just a hard coded maximum width of the bar at the top, and when it runs out, it stops drawing things and the tabs no longer stick to the right.

I'm not trying to argue. Maximize suggests a Windows-type maximize. I just wanted to understand what you meant.

With all the discussions in this forum about the lack of a Windows-type "maximize" function on Mac OS X, it's quite natural to want clarification, which I got.

I added a hack awhile back that allows for maximizing the Safari windows (all windows, actually).

I have always had this code below in my bookmarks bar so I just click it and it maximizes Safari and Firefox for me.
