Well I'm currently getting ready for my Apple TV and I'm ripping all my videos then converting them using Handbrake. But I have come to a movie that just refuses to be ripped, Casino Royal. I have tried ripping it with Mac the Ripper and Handbrake but neither work. Any ideas?

    DRM.

It's kind of funny how the Blu-Ray version of Casino Royale can be ripped easily but the DVD version is more protected.

I used MTR 3.0 r14d to successfully rip Casino Royale from DVD, and now have it on my iPod. There were no problems whatsoever. Make sure you have the latest version, and that you select 'Main Feature Extraction' only from within MTR. Try Again!

My friend used AnyDVD, and then DVDshrink 3.0, and it worked fine.

Since the processing key was found, compromising all HD-DVD and Blu-Ray discs.

And since the release of Slysoft's AnyDVD HD.

Considering the Casino Royal, made by Sony, doesn't even play on all Sony DVD players, that's just to be expected. Casino Royal uses some especially nasty copy prevention.

Hmm.. I remember reading a few months ago about a crack for Blu-Ray, but it was said that a separate key had to be used (and therefore discovered, individually) for each disc, so it wouldn't be as easy as ripping just any old DVD. That problem has been overcome, then?

    Casino Royale Successful Burn

I was able to successfully extract and burn Casino Royale (original disc) using Mac the Ripper. I had tried unsuccessfully until I tried the following settings:

Mode: main feature extraction (only) do not try to do the whole disc. NOT ArcOS
I did not change the UOP's
    de-macrovision was checked

When all was said and done, the program extracted 6.82 GB. For some reason, perhaps size? or in the additional folders (audio and jacket), it would not burn.

RCE-off; New Region all. On the main page : TOCGEN was highlighted (don't know why or how, what it means, I am a definite NEWBIE to using Mac the Ripper.

At the end of the extraction, I received an error message that said that there were bad sectors and the rip may not play back. I had no such issues.

I then used Popcorn to burn the DVD. Made two copies, have one playing on my computer now. Popcorn did give me a "sense error, illegal key code, or something, but the DVD still plays in my computer, and on the player connected to the TV (Magnavox).

Hope this helps someone out there trying to burn it.
