I was thinking of the felxible hardshell

Because I want some protection but I like the stand options.

Oh I wish I could see it in person. I know I love the CARA from switcheasy but I'm tempted by this one.

I noticed something about these back covers. They have a little sound cup that channels the sound from the back of the iPad up to the front. Does anyone know of another case that does this? I spend a lot of time cupping the speaker to increase the sound output.

I'm really looking hard at the MacAlly Hardshell case too. Any news on when it will be available? I would love to see reviews before I buy it.

I was just coming back here to ask about the speaker -there doesn't seem to be a cutout or holes. Too bad -it looks like a brilliant case otherwise.

i am liking this case ... not sure about speaker cutout and seems to also have no magnets for screen on and off ...

If it isn't a smart cover I think that might be a deal killer for me. I won't be buying it until I see a review -that's for sure.

I have the Marware Microshell Folio for the new ipad and it fits fine and the magnets work! My concern is that the inside of the cover is hard plastic and I am wondering how that will impact the ipad screen - ie over time will it scratch it?

Has anybody used this case for an ipad 2 that has some experience with this issue? Thanks

I'm looking at this case from Macally, and while it looks great, I have a concern about their "unpowered audio amplifier." It looks like it would only serve to distort the sound coming out of the iPad. Does anybody know what it sounds like?

Worst comes to worst I could just dremel the silly thing off...
