Macbook 12 (2017) on sale today May 16th for $899 (BestBuy-USA)

Really want to grab one but I’m concerned about the keyboard issue. My last MacBook Pro is from 2011 and is still working rather well. Although a bit long in tooth...

I buy all my Macs in Best Buy sales whenever I visit the US from Scotland. I have a 2017 MacBook and my wife has my old 2016. I've just bought another 2017 model in Space Gray in the sale, which comes out at £725 (that includes a $25 voucher from last year). That's a great deal compared to the UK; I will sell the 2016 model and pass on the 2017 model to my wife and use the new one. I'm not visiting Florida until June but we house swap with a lovely couple and they will keep it till then. There is nothing wrong with the 2016 model (much prefer the 2017 keyboard though) but I should get a decent price for it so the cost to change will be low.

I appreciate that Apple may upgrade or introduce new models in the coming months, but I love the 12" MacBook having had them from day one.

I bought one last week and have just ordered another (for my wife); I called BB and they refunded the $100 plus tax on the first one as well. It's a great deal coming from the UK as it works out at £650 as opposed to Apple UK £1249

Wow, that's a huge savings! Congrats, these are great little notebooks, as you well know.
 
Anyone able to snag one of these $799 Macbook Best Buy deals? I ordered one yesterday for delivery today but now I'm getting a message from BB saying it won't be delivered until the 13th even though there are stores here in the Dallas area that have them in stock right now. On hindsight, I should have just ordered it for pickup in a store instead of having it delivered to my house.

yeah we walked into a local store here last night and picked one up...I bet that they are overestimating the shipping date....sure it will get there much faster...if you cancel you wont get that price as you know :)

I just bought a new Macbook 2016 for $550 in Space Grey from a private owner. I couldn't let this great deal get away. I'm loving it so far. I'm getting use to the keyboard. For anyone trying to decide whether to get one do it. If you're not a power user, and looking for something ultra portable it's perfect.
