Come on, I'm 67, and can't wait to LEARN, the new Keyboard, these days, everything is in a Cloud, who needs ports
I do, almost every day.
Most of you are more computer savvy than I will ever be, you'll learn the keyboard
Why would I have to "learn" a keyboard? I never had to do this with any other Apple keyboard before. They all felt natural and comfortable right from the start. This new keyboard doesn't (to me). It doesn't solve any problem. It's just a compromise that they made in order to shave off another millimeter that nobody asked for (and BTW, there are laptops on the market that are just as thin and still manage to have normal key travel).
in a heartbeat, this IS the future
As I wrote earlier, maybe I'll buy one of the next iterations in said future. Maybe then USB-C is more common, and maybe they add another port and improve the keyboard. But for the present, there are better choices IMO.
it's here now, EMBRACE it, cus everyone else will follow.."You do realize this Keyboard is already in the 13" MBP, and soon to be in the 15" MBP"?
Actually, the latest 13" MBP still has the old style keyboard (thank god).
Enjoy the fact that :apple: Leads the computer cutting edge business, jump in to,this, the future, or move to other Apple products, or MS Surface, or what ever floats your boat, but realize this is nothing more than the death of the CD Rom, floppy drive, etc
Dropping features for no good reason is not innovation in my view. Another USB port wouldn't add any meaningful weight or size.

Give it some time. Apple has gone through a lot of keyboards over the years.

Remember the era of the jellybean iMacs, that had keyboards with the black keys that had about as much key travel as an original IBM PS/2 keyboard?

I'm sure if you took somebody from that era and showed them a MBA keyboard, they would need a little time to adjust.

AS I said not for everybody, but enough for many! You'd be in the " NOT for everybody category"
