Seems like Costco dropped the price of the entry MBA another $50, making it $949. I have plenty of external storage, and although I would want 16gb ram, it’s hard to pass on that price.

Agreed? Are there better deals out there?

Micro Center also has the 2018 256GB Air for $999. Sadly, Costco doesn't sell the 2019 Air yet. All they stock is the 2018 model.

I picked up the 2018 256gb deal from Micro Center last week. Best pricing I could find for a brand new machine.

I was debating paying extra thru Apple to get the ram upgrade, but this machine feels much faster than my base 2015 12'' and feels on par with my work-issued 2017 ntb w/16gb ram.

Best Buy has base model 2019 Air on sale for $899. This is the new one with touch id and true tone.
Add $200 for each tier of storage.

Pretty good deal. I wonder how long it will last? Funny, BB never seems to have big discounts on the Mac Mini. The most that I have seen is about $75 or about 10% on the base model.

The geek didn’t know for sure but said probably a couple of weeks. I picked one up on impulse. I’ve been wanting a MacBook and this was a great price for the newest model. I like it!

Just bought my 2019 256gb Space Grey MBA @ Best Buy for $1099.99. I got 24mo Zero Interest Financing on my Best Buy Card 'cause I'm an Elite Member.

Once again, Micro Center to the rescue. If you have one in your city, definitely keep tabs on their Apple prices. Best I've seen in a long time. Brand new, 2018 Air w/256GB = $920

Wow! Is it worth going thru the trouble to get a $80 price adjustment?

I will say, you'll need to call apple support to get them to verify the purchase date + validate the 1-year warranty. Just went through this process this other night.

What are you talking about?? When buying an Apple product at Micro Center, nobody needs to call anybody to validate anything. They've been an Apple Authorized Dealer since 1980. They're an Apple Authorized repair center as well. I've bought numerous Apple products from them over the years and never had to validate anything. Two Airs and a MBP--just like buying from an Apple store, except WAY cheaper!

When setting up my new Air that I purchased from Micro Center, I checked the warranty via apple and the site said that the purchase date and warranty couldn’t be verified. This prevents you from purchasing applecare. All I had to do was call apple support and send them a copy of the purchase receipt. Everything is fine now!

Just picked up mine for $899.

Good call. They're back up to $999 at Best Buy today; my local store is completely sold out of silver and 3 space gray left. I feel I really got a good deal for $899 (and I bet a lot of other people do too). I love this little machine.

Best Buy only had the pink, I mean rose, in the stores, so I ordered the silver for 899 online. Suppose to be here Tuesday, it will replace my 2015 MacBook 12. Wish Best Buy would carry the upgraded memory versions, but I guess not enough demand.

Which ones? They had the 256 gig for $1099 up until yesterday and today it's $1199. You can still get last year's Air with 256 for $1099. I only got the 128 gig because I really have no need for a lot of storage.

I would have gotten the 16GB of RAM, if they carried them.

Me too, it run so smooth, and quick. had the 2013 and thought that was quick. So far this is running circles around it.

Picked up at Best Buy as well but got an even better deal since online they had open box in excellent condition certified for only $818. Had $80 of reward certificates so essentially got it for under $790 shipped to my door taxes and all. Hell of a deal for what's essentially a new laptop.
