Hello friends. I own MacBook Air 2019. I'm using Monterey 12.3.1. My computer throws a series of errors that I don't understand. First of all, when I restart the computer manually or restart the system, I get the following error at startup. (Pop-up in Turkish guys sorry :)

(you shut down the computer due to a problem)

Sometimes I close the lid even though it is fully charged, and when I open the lid again, the system does not wake up from sleep. But I can open it by long pressing the power button. And the pop-up appears that i posted up. In other words, sometimes the computer may turn itself off when it is in sleep mode, even though it has a charge.

Why do you think these problems occur? Anyone encounter similar issues in Monterey?

I contacted Apple Support, they made the classic clichés and it didn't work. What should I do?

Live with that, most laptops have that from time to time (M1 included).
But often? I reinstalled Monterey last night. Even during reinstallation the computer rebooted itself. It continued after I entered my password though.

not reinstall.

Make full reset (SMC reset and PRAM reset)

Reset both and check again. It is very easy.

Finally reboot problems probably show aggravation of battery life. Check the battery condition, if necessary change the battery, it is not that expensive.

I don't have M1 to test on, but on Intel based Mac this works:

sudo nvram AutoBoot=%00 -- will disable auto boot
sudo nvram AutoBoot=%03 -- default value

No, wrong, if your laptop does that it's because there is an issue with the hardware.

Have you taken it to an Apple Store?

I doubt my M1 and Intel laptops suddenly all developed "an issue with the hardware" once Monterey got installed on them.
If your MBA doesn't react to opened lid, there are some problems, either software or hardware related. Why don't you try to reset the hardware and later you can try to fix the software side? I understand you may be not worried about the opened lid thing, but it might be a case of a wider system corruption or hardware related problem, especially older Intel Macbooks.

You'd be surprised. Just look at watchOS bricking Apple Watches to some users. Same thing can happen with OSX. Just because it's not widespread, doesn't mean people don't have issues with their installations/upgrades.

Probably yes. Since it has happened just a handful of times over past 7 months, the maximum effort I could provide was sending a crash report to Apple.
