do not want to start a new thread.. but i really want to get some opinion. Should i get my AIR this weekend? or should I still wait till APPLE settle all the bugs?? I have been waiting to buy AIR since day 1.. starting was because there is no stock.. now is because of the bug.. how?
i like the air just little things that i don't like abut it
1. The buttery not so good its like every 1m-20s one present going
2. if i use like iTunes and iPhoto and little more.. it get slow and need restart -sometimes- (i have the 1.6)-
one day i checked and i opened allot of things like 15 and i was slow but moving fine better than i thought
but its nice and cool for people that don't ask for allot*
i like it!
its
(sorry abut me english)
that doesn't sound right. why do people put up with that, seriously...
what you try to say? that i don't relay have a MacBook air? (you want a photo?)
or that something wrong with my computer?
He means there is something wrong with your computer. The performance doesnt sound right at all
Of course you have a MacBook Air, I didn't want to imply you are a liar!
Ok so, wow, I just got mine on tuesday, been working with it a helluva lot. Now, yesterday, out of the blue it got realllly hot, the fan started blowing at full speed and the 2nd core shut down and it kept lagging for minutes on end. I had to manually power it off (as in hold down the power button until it died).
I was installing xcode from a .dmg and writing an email in my parallels (ubuntu). It seems to me as if I had taxed the system much more in the past.
When it started making the noise, I just put it on the bed for 1 minute, after the fan started acting up, i put it next to my window, and as you can see by my user profile, I am in canada, so next to my window it's about 0 degrees.
Was that just some oddity or do I have to expect similar episodes like this in the future?
as in: replacement y/n?
Saw it for the first time here in South Africa yesterday (we're behind the rest of the world). The machine is very cool, I like it although I think multi-touch is WAAAAY overrated. Thanks for listening![]()
I do have to agree though the mulitcouh is overrated. I heard of some people buying the new MBP cause it now has multitouch.
Hello,
Just wanted to chime in with all the happy MacBook Air owners out there!
I've had mine for just over three weeks now, and couldn't be happier with it.
Using it as a companion piece to my iMac and it does everything that I expect it to.
I guess all those with issues regarding the size of the HD and the number of ports really just got it for all the wrong reasons.
In fact, I've only ever opened the ports' door on the machine one time - that was just to test that all the ports were functioning. And that was on the day I bought the machine. Since then, I've been transferring files to and from the Air to the iMac via wireless file transfer.
Even purchased the external superdrive, which, again, I have only ever used once - also to test it.
It's speedy enough - faster than my three year old iMac G5 - I think. And the HD capacity is more than enough if you consider that it is meant to complement my desktop unit, and not replace it.
Fans have been silent (you should hear the G5!). And no overheating issues at all.
Great machine and definitely something to consider if you have the right use for it.
Cheers!
Anyone here have the SSD drive that can say how much of the hard drive was left when you booted it up for the first time?![]()
