But anyone who says they don't get hot is a liar.

The person who said they are "like an ice cube" is clearly on crack.
First, insulting and denigrating people because you misread their statements is uncalled for and a violation of forum rules. Second, the statement was not that MBAs don't get hot. Read again:
Any problems (heating wise) from a lot of intense work?
No. Even when watching hours of videos, it's like an ice cube compared to my previous laptop, a Gateway NX570XL.

I think it's poor form to cheat the OP with an incorrect answer to his question
The answer was not incorrect. A comparison was made with a Gateway computer, indicating that the MBA doesn't get nearly as hot as the Gateway. That doesn't suggest in any way that the MBA doesn't get hot at all.

ok, thanks every one for the input, all appreciated. Ill just rephrase my question in normal terms :p all im interested in is whether or not during tasks such as, final cut pro, imovie, iphoto, youtube or documents/presentation making will the macbook become too hot to the point of it becoming uncomfortable. Thank you :)

It will depend on how many of those you have running at one point in time, as well as other apps/widgets/processes you have running, as well as what file or web or multimedia content you're running, as well as what temperature you would consider uncomfortable. It's impossible for anyone to tell you this with any accuracy, due to so many variables. The only thing you can do is try it for yourself and if it gets too hot, take it off your lap.
