On 14”-16” MacBook Pro the words “macbook pro” were taken from the bottom of the screen to the bottom of the laptop. On m2 MBA is the “MacBook Air” label
anywhere?

If it’s not important then they can also remove apple logo. Why anything is important at the end of the day?
why are you even talking about? the "macbook air" writing has no functionality while the apple logo has, how can you say is not important

Do you see many cars that ONLY have the brand logo and not the model name on the car somewhere? I don't. Same goes for a lot of other products. So apparently identifying the model of product does have functionality.

i mean about functionality not about branding and naming just for people to know what model it is. Plus the positioning for that purpose is gone since the MBP now have it on the bottom. At least on the cars is on the back where a lot of people can see it
The identifying model on cars doesnt allow wifi and BT to go through the metal chassis like apple logo does it for the MBA...come on people. One is pure marketing one is marketing and functionality. The Mba can fully funtion without the branding while the MBA cannot use any wireless functions without the so called "apple logo" or the cut into the metal lid
So many topics about crying about the little things :)) I bet the OP was asking years ago why the Apple logo doesnt light up anymore, another thing that is just pure for the "show off"

Well, I consider branding functionality and assumed that's what you meant since you never explicitly stated a functionality until now. I've actually never heard that the Apple logo was necessary to allow BT and Wi-Fi signals. I don't think that's common knowledge among most Mac users. But I disagree that the "MacBook/Air/Pro" name positioning makes it useless unless you never have your MacBook lid open 😉 If I'm sitting next to somebody using one or see one sitting there and don't know what it is, I would see, "Ah, MacBook Air. I need to look into one of those."

I was being serious, 4 posters in another thread discussing height differences between the MBA and 14" MBP, swear they can feel that difference.
lol i see.well all the irony was that if you could discern a mba and a mbp thanks to the written logo,u might as well just look at the lockscreen and recognize it...also my argument didnt make much sense imo lol
