What about something like CIV 6?
I've only just seen this, so sorry about the delay. You're in luck though, I bought this a few weeks ago. I haven't played it much, but I've booted it up and had a look at the performance on one of the scenarios. I cranked the settings up to Ultra with 4xMSAA, but with the resolution set to 1470x956 and it's a lock on 60 fps as I was panning around the scene. For some reason I can't put the resolution up any higher, so it doesn't look as crisp as it could, but it plays really smoothly, which I guess is the important thing.

In-game with those settings (60fps top right):

So was there any consensus on battery life difference between the 8/10 core models?
I haven’t seen anyone so far run a specific battery test head to head against the two but I don’t believe there would be much of a different for daily usage. I don’t think it would utilities all the cores unless needed

I have the 10 core model and she been very impressed with the battery life. I admit I don’t push the graphics for my daily usage though either

Is this still a thing between the 8 vs 10 core? EG - has consensus been that it is actually better to go with 8 core for battery life if you're not going to go graphic intensive?

It had seemed like the verdict was potentially still out on whether the 10 core would ever be worth it given the passive cooling vs it is a potential software thing that can be tweaked further down the line.
