I still believe well see this new product (macboor air or new led cinema display) before the end of the month. I think apple will update this product before the WWDC.

If we see anything before WWDC, I'm almost positive it's going to be an updated Mac Pro. Believe it or not, I think the Mac Pro is actually a bigger seller than the MacBook Air. I think Apple is working harder at getting the new Pro out first.

Back in 2001, I was given a ThinkPad A20p which had a hot swappable DVD drive that could take an extra battery or I believe an extra HD. You could also replace the main HD with the removal of a single screw.

Good machines, those IBMs. Their designs were (are) hideous, but in a way rather charming!

Yeah, I love Thinkpads (at least when IBM produced them). My previous laptop was a T21. Their designs are great. Fairly rugged, trackpoint is awesome, swappable optical drive, dockable, etc. Little things like the wrist area slopes off so that it doesn't poke our wrists (MBPs *do* poke my wrist, but I got use to it) and the display can tilt all the way back. Not the most pretty, but they have a clean design and aren't ugly like laptops that try to be pretty but fail.

I had a hard time deciding whether to get another Thinkpad or a MBP (Linux vs OS X). In the end OS X won out, and I love my MBP, but it just can't take a beating like my Thinkpad T21 can (which my gf is now using). I'd consider hackintoshing one if it is possible; though I'm not sure if Lenovo has kept the quality up.

Air

Performance, speed and reliability are truly what I am seeking. I am hopeful that the new Air will do the trick. My MacBook Pro's days are numbered. Poor little thing.

So it seems that there will finally be no macbook air. The new product looks like its gonna be the new macbook. Im very disappointed.

Maybe next tuesday there will be the new macbook air too?

Actually it would seem the opposite.
