Well I got the top of the line 13" MBA in my hot little hands... Well, the box actually. I got it last night and haven't even opened it. Work lasts until 6pm today so it'll be a while before I can get to it, and I need to do laundry/pack for work related travel tomorrow.

I guess I'm afraid to open it as I may like it too much. As of right now, it's still returnable and I can get $1750 back...

You wasted $150
:/

It's like paying to upgrade from 200 horsepower to 220 horsepower in a car... when most buyers are driving in a city with traffic.

The issue isn't how much faster the 220 is compared to 200... the issue is whether basic drivers will even reach 200 horsepower...
The issue is whether the higher speed is worth it for a fuel consumption model, when the cost of upgrading makes it the same as a 320 horsepower model which guarantees speed, albeit at the cost of fuel.

So now one is not really getting the most of the economical 'fuel saver' option 200hp model, nor getting the speed of the 320hp version while spending the same for it would cost.

Want to back up that statement with a more substantial argument?

Or is that just your... Opinion.

I was being sarcastic (you can tell by the little sarc smile)...
As it shows in my sig, and as I've stated in this thread, I own an i7 MBA...:)

Actually, it's more like going from 200hp to 240hp...nice to have for when you do get on the freeway :D

Definitely! And if you're a frequent user of the freeway it is worth it...

But then wouldn't the 320hp model be of better service?

ok, I can play that too...why by a Porsche if you can afford it, when a Jetta can get you where you need to go? LOL
If one can afford the upgrade to a faster processor it makes perfect sense to upgrade if that is what they want to do...
The "processor police" LOL

exactly. if the jetta and a porsche cost the same, and you bought a jetta... yea my point exactly.

thanks for pointing it out.

I'm going to college for Computer Science, and I got the MacBook Air ultimate model. It's absolutely wonderful. Very light and portable, yet has all the power you need. I highly recommend it.
