Hi guys, I'm looking for a macbook air / pro for trading and web browsing , movie watching , Photoshop, plus windows side running for some engineering apps.(priorities: screen ,decent performance)
My budget is limited to 400$max and I found 4 laptops (cant access ebay or other sites) :
Macbook pro 2014 i5/8gbRAM/256/13inch 220$
Macbook air 2017 i5/8gb/128/13inch 220$
Macbook pro 2015 i7quad/16gb/512/ 15inch/no dedicated gpu 400$
And this mysteries macbook which seller claims is macbook air 2017 but I know it isnt 16gb/128/ 13inch?! 360$

Which one would you choose?
I love portability of Air 2017 model but I know screen just isnt there. I want a screen and performance better than my old gaming laptop. -Im also planning to upgrade any of these macs to OS ventura via oclp, good idea or not?

That picture is of the new 15" MacBook Air, the 2017 Air is physically identical to the 2012-2015 models, and is pretty much exactly the same as the 2015 Air but with a slightly faster CPU.

The 2015 15" MBP would be an OK pick though $400 is pretty steep, especially considering it doesn't have discrete graphics. Ventura via OpenCore runs pretty well in my experience.

Beware of all of the 2016, and 2017 models, which have the damage-prone keyboard type, which often get out of order and will cost a lot to repair. The 2015 models have a good keyboard, so they are OK.
