That thing is in really good condition! I would open the top case and have a look around and see maybe it's a loose connector or something. Also check for corrosion or liquid damage. Have you tried an smc and pram reset?

I did try SMC, but no idea if it actually even took or not.. Just pull battery and hold power button for 5 seconds? Any sign when it happens?

I can't remember off the top of my head but when you do an smc doesn't the clock and date reset? Or is that a pram reset?

Also I heard someone day with the batter as charger connect if you hold the power button down until you hear a loud beep thats also some kind of reset but they may have no clue what they are talking about n

I believe both those are the pram resets..

I just wish I kinda knew the symptoms of the magsafe dc-in board.. and know when that is the actual issue.

EDIT: Also the battery holds perfect charge, i charged it up with my blackbook and its good.

I would replace the DC board an also the battery connector to start.

Yah i think tonight since both the DC In board and battery connector involve the same steps nearly. Im gonna remove both (working) from my blackbook. And then put one after the other into the white mac from there..

I guess if both fail than all that leaves me with the is logic board :(

Anyone know the voltages on the battery connector pinout and what they should be? I figured I could always mesaure those with a volt meter and compare to the blackbook see if voltage is coming there?

Logic boards don't seem too $$ on ebay for that model right now, but hopefully you won't have to come to that! Let us know how it goes tonight with the disection of the blackbook.

Well i removed the magsafe from my blackbook, all went well. Now im opening up the whitebook to get the magsafe out and try the swap :)

Here is pictures of the whitebook looks pretty darn good/clean... Makes me really wonder whats wrong with this lol. Anyways just swapped the dc board and closing it up to fire it up and see..

Well its not the dc-in board :( Now im gonna try the battery connector.

EDIT: And its not the battery connector either...

So I also noticed that battery seems to be losing charge even tho its plugged into the charger.. lol..

This is cocounuts report on the batt.

Darn that's too bad.... Sounds like logic board to me. Hmm how are the solder joints where the battery connecter connects with on the logic board?

Seems fine.. I looked at the logic board as much of it as i could see to see any corrosion/ liquid spills and there is nothing..

Anyone else?

So I realized that the macbook doesn't even really run on the charger.. The light is green but its only powered by the battery once the batt dies thats it..

So now I can concluded that the thing wont even run of the charger.

Anyone??

Is charging corrosion a common problem? Have experienced this in a lightning port and was told by the Genius Bar rep it's due to water/moisture in the port while charging...

If there's water/moisture in the port while charging, then it would be an issue.
