MacBook Delays? Next Tuesday?

Did we ever find out what was in the boxes sent to apple stores marked not to be opened until today?

This whole 'waiting with baited breath' is lame. I love the way these rumours seem to self-perpetuate. So far we've had wishing for a MacBook with support for a 30" display (why?), dedicated graphics (unlikely), different colours (never going to happen, because of inventory problems) and the obligatory 'Apple invite' (the inventor of Photoshop spins in his grave).
Can we all take a chill-pill, this is only a computer, which will eventually come out. No one will live or die by the hand of this product. I understand this is a forum for the Mac faithful, but some people have lost all sense of reality!😕

All this means is that when they do go on sale...all you lovely peeps who are desperate to get your hands on one of these things (myself included) will be able to get one ordered and hopefully delivered pretty sharpish!
I'm sure if they released them today and you had delays on your orders you would be even more peeved!😛

I really think it would serve apple better to announce them now and have a longer lead time than to keep waiting. Edu buying season is slipping away from them as we speak.

WOW! I'm just so shocked that Think Secret is predicting Macbooks next tuesday! I can't believe it, really? This tuesday for sure? Le'me call my broker. I gotta get some more shares.
The use of the word sources on Think Secret is = (in my mind) to, "I'm gonna tell people stuff they want to hear, even though I have ZERO evidence to support my claim." The reason I'm so cynical about their posts is because the info is usually wrong & the sources are never FROM anywhere. It never says, "speaking to an Apple employee from X department (or even a marketing consultant who works with Apple) on the condition of anonymity." To me an unspecified source is as credible as the worst Jerry Springer guest you can think of.
Personally, I haven't been waiting for an Macbook, but it seems to me that those who have been waiting since November get the goal posts moved on them every tuesday @ 7 AM.

Don't be too quick to blame TS, although their record hasn't been great lately. It could be TS's SOURCES who are backpedaling or inventing things to cover up their mistake, not TS themselves inventing things.
I think people had a good point who suggested that releasing a consumer notebook or iPod this week was never a good idea: it would compete for attention with E3.
PS, I believe MacBooks ARE coming this time 🙂 In white and black, with integrated graphics, and yet still with performance to blow away a G4.

I refuse to speculate as to when the MacBook will come out or what the specs will be,
BUT
I will predict that masses of people will be very VERY disappointed with the actual product that you get for the price point.
