Because it's probably not the inverter itself, but the cable that runs from the inverter to the screen. When you bump it, it breaks the connection and the screen goes black.
With the complexity of today's electronics, nothing is ever going to be 100% perfect 100% of the time, there will always be defects. But normally, the chances of one person getting two defective machines is really small.
Of Course and apple is still superior so Im not worried. It's just this poster isnt the only one with a bad experience Ive had one also as well as many others, Just pretty much saying try try again. =) On!
