Macbook Hard Disk Stuck

I inserted my new hard drive (western digital) not knowing that the metal enclosure of the old hard drive should be attached to the new one and I can't pull it out because there's no pull tab. does anyone know how I can remove it? I badly need a solution ASAP because i can't bring it to apple center because I have a paper deadline soon. 🙁

This just happened to me, anyone know how to fix it?

You would have told him to do a search if he started a new thread, so I would say that he did the correct thing.

Have you tried pliers?

i will try pliers, but will this have messed up the computer because the hard drive is upside down?
