^^^ the best, that 12"G4. I had a bunch of them and they were all standup. Two of them still working for family members even now.
Yep, me too- and it's not going anywhere, anytime soon.
no way...
Wish I could say the same for myselfMy screen display is out(no longer gets a picture signal likely due to a bad cable) and my battery is on its last legs on my 2006 black book. As such its no longer portable and become a desktop computer leaving me without a notebook.
Black was definitely unique and it was nice being different and having a mac that was pretty rare as very few had black around here vs the grey mbp that is everywhere.
I've been holding out hoping for apple to release a black mbp or at least a different looking one then current grey design as a suitable replacement. Not sure how much longer I can hold out. Going to try and wait for Ivy Bridge though with the rumored redesign and USB3 if I can make it that long.
Okay so I literally bought a new upgraded macbook on july 19th at 7:00 pm PDT according to the website... Seriously? Hours before it left? do think this will affect my order? (it hasn't shipped yet) I think that's kind of ridiculous.

Go get a new screen. You should be able to find a replacement.
Indeed. A sad but inevitable moment.
A two minute silence please...
PLEASE, they should have been killed off years ago!
Still using my white Penryn MacBook... Started out with 2gb. ram and a 160gb hdd, and upgraded to 4gb ram and a 640gb. hdd last year. Such a good machine, but it is finally starting to feel out-dated. Battery has held up pretty well too.
How is your battery that good after 200+ cycles?! Mine has lost around 300mAh after 17 load cycles, does it decrease less in time or something? Or does the capacity meter just fluctuate a lot?
I rarely use mine on battery, full discharge once a month otherwise it's plugged in. I have the 2010 MacBook and it was at around 97% capacity when I first got it, now it's at 92%
