The first MacBook Neo unboxing videos were shared today by selected YouTube channels, ahead of the laptop launching on Wednesday.

Regardless of whether you choose Blush, Citrus, Indigo, or Silver, the MacBook Neo comes with a white USB-C charging cable in the box. In all regions except the UK and the EU, Apple's 20W USB-C Power Adapter is also included in the box. As has been the case for a few years now, however, Apple stickers are no longer provided.

We have rounded up some of the unboxing videos below.

Macbook Air would be on sale for $200 dollars off but the Neo will likely only see $100 dollars off during sales like the Mac Mini. $899 Base Air vs. $599 512GB Neo during sales.

Guys, unboxing videos are no excuse to vent your life frustrations here. Get over yourself. No one is forcing you to watch. Do some meditation, join a gym, play a sport or go for a walk in nature. Life is great and you are lucky to be alive. Find something that gives you joy in life and quit negging on everything.

A prior MBA wallpaper said “AIR”. Both wallpapers are as ugly as sin. The Air wall was better, but that’s not exactly an achievement considering the absolute state of that Neo wallpaper.

I just noticed the AIR yesterday. But I only see it on those small previews. Not on the larger one you posted.

Those iMac wallpapers show MaC too by the way.

The benchmarks are crazy good, basically an M1 Air, but I'm surprised it beats the M2 Ultra in single-core benchmarks. Does that mean single core was bad before, or that this one is just that good?

macbook pro has "pro" on the wallpaper, as well

Not an expert on chip design, but at least Apple likes to use the same type of core uniformly across all the things they launch at any given generation, regardless of the market segment. You can see this with how the ultra chip is "two max chips glued together". The difference between M2 ultra and M2 is ultimately just the number of cores, as well as I/O and memory bandwidth and that stuff.

The A18 pro is just a mini version of the M4, with 2P+4E cores and much less I/O (since it was meant for a phone, it only supports 8gb ram and a couple of usb ports). But the cores themselves are theoretically just as fast

Would be nice if Apple gave a ‘peasant’ commoner person early access one of these days to do an unboxing so it’s it’s a REAL unboxing, not just some hyped up, paid promotion basically. The social influencer is really starting to get old these days and people are getting tired the QVC Home Shopping Network style videos

If a video has an image of the reviewer with some corny surprised or sad or any other overdramatic look on their face, I move along. So dumb...

Articles with embeds are one of the places I still see this stuff and I agree with you.

On Firefox I use the Clickbait Remover extension for YT, which removes all the thumbnails they've chosen and assigns one based upon the actual video. It's amazing how much it changes (for the better) the experience. One has to actually read what the video titles say and not just scroll along getting clickbait "advertised" to by the horrendous thumbnails.
