So are you mobile with your Mac or do you find yourself using it mostly at your desk as a desktop?

A friend of mine is an Engineer and works a lot at home. He got tired of sitting at his desk all day so he made the coolest set up in his den.

He took a Lazy Boy chair positioned it close to a wall and installed a Monitor Arm and also attached a fold out shelf where he can set his Wacom Tablet, he uses an Apple wireless keyboard as well ... all he has to do is set his 15" MacBook on the side table, plug in a few wire turn on the keyboard and he's all set.

Anyone else have a cool 'away from the desk' set up's?

I moved my setup to the breakfast bar, to keep an eye on a two year old, and still have time to check mail and other random websites. It's alright, but I may need to get a more comfortable stool to sit on

My 13 inch MBP goes with me absolutely everywhere. With that said my 17 barely gets turned on because of my living situation right now. On the look out!

40% at home on bed/floor/couch/kitchen bench

40% at work, either on my desk or on my lap if I'm in the server room

10% at university

10% outdoors in coffee shops, or squares, grass etc.

90% in bed
5% on desk
5% at university (yeah yeah you got that right... not every university is like those in the USA... mine still uses the black boards and a piece of chalk occasionally). The materials I get in class I have to write or type... but since I'm in technical university there are a lot of schemes, diagrams etc... and it takes ages to make them on a laptop.

it used to be 60% home to 40% school but since school has finished its now 100% home :(. at home my 08 white macbook is connected to my 17" acer display, home theatre, additional keyboard and mouse, etc, but its solo for when i'm on the move.

Absolutely, both, interchangeably. It goes pretty much everywhere with me. At work it's on my desk or in the labs with me, at home it's on the couch in front of the TV or on the kitchen table. On the road I use it wherever there's a wifi or ethernet connection.

Lol the only good thing about using it on a desk for me is when the computer gets really hot, too hot to have on your lap... Though on cold mornings and cold nights the warmth of the computer is quite nice on your lap :D

Seems like percentage is king right now.. so:

50% Couch
25% Desk/kitchen table thing I use (see picture)
25% On the go (Coffee shops, library, etc)
