well if it's backordered then probably not. try calling them up and see what they say.
I saw that thread. I'm absolutely stunned at the number of people saying 'keep it' as well as the ways people will justify doing just that.

Some people don't necessarily see it as something wrong.
In fact, I'm sure a lot of people on those threads could actually sleep better knowing they just got a $3000 notebook for free.

I ordered my MBP April 8, Matte and maxed out everything else. I am still waiting, have had assurances every week it was processing in Anchorage and would ship shortly every week.....have read on other forums the matte + 2.93 processor is the culprit, we are not alone in our wait!
Thank goodness I have my trusty G4 to keep plugging away......but I know how you feel, the suspense is killing me!

Def call them. Like I said I ordered mine on a Friday, but something was wrong with the credit card so I called them monday to clear it up so they started building it on monday and it was here by friday and I have the same specs as u. But I ordered through my company account. viel glueck!

April 24th. 2.93Ghz, Glossy. 320GB 7200rpm. iWork.
At first it said delivered by May 4th. The status I saw was "Prepared for Shipment" But now it seems like it's taking another week before it ships out. May 12th.
Ships: 3 - 5 business days
Delivers: May 6 - May 12
Are they installing iWork and playing games on it?
I have a feeling the hard drive is what throws it off.
