So I want to grab a SSD for my MBP, but I am not to sure which to get.

I know that any SSD will work but is getting a Samsung EVO 850 worth it compared to a Crucial MX100. I say this because my MBP is limited to Sata I which is 1.5gbps.

Would it make any difference if I grabbed a Crucial SSD? I know Crucial SSDs are slower but you get more storage at a better price.

Absolutely no point going for the more expensive one. Your SATA interface is the bottleneck and won't be able to reach anywhere close to the maximum read/write speeds of any modern SSD.

Go for budget.
