hello good day.

i got a early 2011 macbook pro 15 inch the other day basically new old stock. i bought 2 1 tb ssd's to put in it.

i'm currently running carbon copy cloner to copy the existing os to a hdd before i can setup the ssd raid i want to do.

but i still need to clone the bootcamp partition to a image or something.

my idea is.

2 750 gb partitions in raid 0 for mac os (as the os boots raid volumes without much problems in my experience)

and use a single 250 gb partition for windows. and use the remaining 250 gb partition as a transfer partition so both mac os and windows can read write from it

the thing is.

to install windows properly. i need to use a internal super drive to install it.. (i tried usb and it just nopes out)

So i am looking for a way to properly clone the windows partition back to the 250 gb partition.

how should i do this?

i've read about a few software solutions but they all cause the bootcamp partition to be non bootable

I don't use Windows or BootCamp.
But have you checked out something called "Winclone" ?

thats one of the options i heard. and i think the one downside that software has is not making the actual copy of it bootable. but i wil take a look on the software page for this
